The artist works on a series of goddesses, resurrections from the 11th-century frescos found in the ruined city of Tsaparang, the ancient seat of the King of Guge, who once ruled Western Tibet (1600 CE).

Tara (in Tibetan, Dolma- she who saves) has seven all-seeing eyes of compassion, three in the face, one each on the palms of her hands and the soles of her feet. Her right hand is turned outwards in the gesture of giving, while her left hand sends a blessing and also holds the stem of a fully open lotus. (Lotus is the symbol of enlightenment.)

This Deity represents ultimate refuge, combining the Three Jewels;

Her mind is Buddha, Her speech is Dharma, And her body is Sangha.

Buddha; Siddhartha Gautama, philosopher, reformer, and the founder of Buddhism. Dharma; In Buddhism: The nature of reality is regarded as auniversal truth taught by the Buddha.
Dharma; is an aspect of truth or reality: all dharmas are forms of emptiness. The origin is from Sanskrit literally ‘decree or custom’.
Sangha; (san-gha, the Buddhist community of monks, nuns, novices, and laity. The origin is from the Sanskrit sangha ‘community’.

From the lotus of my heart
I offer flowers.
May all that is seen be pure and beautiful.
May all experience
the body of enlightenment.
Receive, oh enlightened ones,
All the beauty of the world.
